At the age of 20 one of my former bosses approached me with an idea – to create a new print magazine for an industry that only had one single magazine available on the market: the diamond business. I said yes and led the conception and launch of a new magazine in the area of industrial diamonds.
Now don’t make the mistake and think of industrial diamonds as the ones sung about by Marilyn Monroe. They are totally black, do not have a diamond cut and simply look like nothing. But nevertheless – within 6 month the first magazine was out on the German-speaking market, even one week before my self-set final deadline.
I am still a bit proud having done such an uncommon project, that required quite a straight project-management with tight deadlines in my early days. After the launch I left the project, as my part was done.
The magazine still exists after more than 10 years – as well as the Marilyn Monroe-diamond that I got from my former boss . Have a look at it, if you like: www.diamond-business.info
